Hiya, I'm Cara
Coloradan heart and soul who spent teenage years in Nepal,
visual storyteller, nature lover, world traveler and movie score devotee.
When I'm not filming I love to savor time with my husband, sweet baby girl and our Cavalier King Charles spaniel “Charles Dickens.”
I have always loved making movies. As a kid, many a slumber party was blissfully spent making cringe-worthy homemade music videos (really, I hope those never find the light of day)!
Fast forward to the future, where that early interest in storytelling and love of the making videos led me to start Priya Maya Films in 2017.
I live in Colorado Springs, never tire of waking up to see Pikes Peak every day and am honored to film weddings or invest my love of storytelling in whatever creative project comes along.

I spent middle school and high school in the majestic Himalayan country of Nepal with my family and learned to speak the language.
nepal is very close to my heart. A second home country abroad.
I wanted my company name to reflect my love of world cultures and express my vision for telling great (Beloved) love stories.
